Entry Guidelines for FIFA Fan Festival™

Know Before You Go

Plan ahead for your visit to FIFA Fan Festival™ Toronto – find what you can bring and what to leave at home to help ensure a smooth entry to the festival grounds. Items left outside the venue will be removed and disposed.

Getting There

FIFA Fan Festival™ is accessible by public transit, walking or cycling. There is no parking available on site. Explore transit options.

Entry & Guest Services

Everyone above the age of two requires a valid digital ticket in advance for entry to the festival grounds. Children under the age of 16 require a parent or guardian to enter.

No tickets are available on site. There is no re-entry after leaving the festival grounds with a general admission ticket.

  • A maximum of four tickets can be reserved per person with a Ticketmaster account. A credit card is required to create an account but will not be charged for general admission tickets.
  • Tickets can be transferred ahead of entry but not resold through your Ticketmaster account.

All attendees must go through a security check before entry. Signage will direct attendees to the main gates, located off Fort York Blvd. on the south side of Fort York National Historic Site.

  • Gate 1 – General Admission ticketholders
  • Gate 2 – Premium ticketholders, Fast Pass ticketholders, people with accessibility needs, accredited media

Guest Services and Lost and Found are located in the Fort York Visitor’s Centre.

Inclement Weather

This is a rain or shine event and no refunds are available. In the case of severe weather, the event team will closely monitor conditions and provide updates to guests through official social media channels and on-site screens. The safety of attendees, volunteers and staff is our top priority and risk of lightning will result in closing the event.

Payment

FIFA Fan Festival Toronto™ is a cashless event. All vendors, including food and beverage concessions, accept all international debit and credit cards. Visa is preferred.

Phone Charging & Wi-Fi

Phone charging stations are available on festival grounds. Connections available: USB-C, Lightning, and Micro USB.

There is no dedicated Wi-Fi available for attendees.

Washrooms

Washrooms, including accessible washrooms, are available throughout the site. Premium ticketed areas have dedicated washroom facilities.

Please note for families with young children: Changing stations are not available

Accessibility

FIFA Fan Festival Toronto is an accessible venue, with accessible washrooms and picnic tables located throughout the site.

Guests with accessibility needs can enter through Gate 2.

Photo/Video

Attendees are allowed to take photos or record video for personal non-commercial purposes without the use of lighting equipment, camera flash, tripods or monopods. Please review the prohibited items list.

Smoking/Vaping

No smoking or vaping is permitted at FIFA Fan Festival™ Toronto. There is no designated smoking area.

What You Can Bring

The event organizers reserve the right to deny entry to any person or item the event organizers and/or authorized security personnel deem(s) dangerous. This list is subject to change. If the item in question is not explicitly listed, it will be up to the event organizer and security's discretion to allow it into the festival.

  • Bags: bags or backpacks cannot exceed 30 x 30 x 20 cm / 12 × 12 × 8 in. (Exceptions for diaper bags and medically necessary items, subject to inspection)
  • One reusable water bottle per guest - must be empty, plastic (not metal or glass) and maximum 1 L or 34 oz in size
  • Liquids limited to 100ml (including personal-sized hand sanitizer)
  • Sunblock or sunscreen (non-aerosol only)
  • Baby strollers, after security inspection: strollers must be empty of any contents with the exception of permitted items
  • Baby wipes, baby formula or breastmilk, unpackaged baby foods
  • Mobile phones and chargers
  • Binoculars
  • Cameras (non-professional)
  • E-cigs and vape pens (Please note: these items may not be used as smoking and vaping are not permitted within City of Toronto parks)
  • Chapstick/lip balm/eye drops/Liquid IV or electrolyte packets, feminine hygiene items: must be sealed/unopened
  • Non-aerosol makeup
  • Ear protection/ear plugs/noise-cancelling headphones
  • Hats, sunglasses, ponchos and rain jackets
  • Blankets for personal use and comfort (subject to inspection): Cannot exceed 6 ft x 6 ft (1.8 m x 1.8 m) or display political messages, campaign materials, controversial imagery, hate symbols, offensive content, or messaging that may disrupt the event environment. Festival management reserves the right to determine whether displayed content is prohibited and to require removal of any blanket that does not comply with this policy.
  • Personal misting fans (empty bottle no larger than 1L/34 oz.) and handheld fans (non-battery operated)
  • Cooling towels (40 x 76 cm max)
  • Transportation and mobility devices: includes wheelchairs, walkers, and motorized wheelchairs for individuals who require mobility assistance. Other medically necessary mobility devices may be permitted following inspection. Accessibility scooters will be assessed by security personnel upon entry.
  • Special dietary food items
  • Medication/prescription drugs: over-the-counter and medically necessary items subject to assessment by a medical professional as deemed necessary by the security team
  • Designated service animals: comfort, therapy, or emotional support animals do not qualify as service animals and are not permitted

Prohibited Items

  • Umbrellas
  • Lawn chairs/folding chairs and seat cushions
  • Seat cushions or lawn chairs of any kind (except for cane-chairs and seat walker mobility aids)
  • Glass or metal containers (including glass and metal bottles)
  • Outside food, drink, or alcohol (venue-purchased items only)
  • Non-motorized and motorized vehicles: bicycles, rollerblades, inline skates, skateboards, shoes with built in wheels, motorcycles, tricycles, unicycles, pogo sticks, Segway™ or scooters (including e-bikes and e-scooters)
  • Animals of any kind, except certified service animals
  • Weapons and dangerous items: firearms, replicate firearms knives, bladed weapons, ammunition, or components of guns (religious items, such as kirpans are exempt)
  • Explosives, fireworks, flares, smoke bombs, compressed liquids, or any other pyrotechnic device
  • Pepper spray, mace, tasers, or martial arts weapons
  • Chains, metal rods, poles, or sticks
  • Projectiles, bottles, helmets, or hard hats
  • Work tools of any kind
  • Body protection gear, body armour
  • Any other object that is or could be considered a weapon in the opinion of event organizers and security
  • Bags and containers larger than 30 x 30 x 20 cm / 12 × 12 × 8 in will not be permitted into the Festival grounds
  • Hard-sided bags, luggage, suitcases, or rolling duffle bags
  • Wagons, coolers, ice chests, picnic baskets
  • Illegal drugs, narcotics, substances, stimulants
  • Flammable substances
  • Aerosol products, aerosol cans, or aerosol sunblock
  • Microphones or audio recording and communication devices (unless authorized as accredited media)
  • Portable Wi-Fi devices
  • Professional cameras with detachable lenses
  • Tripods, selfie sticks, or GoPro mounts
  • Drones and aerial devices
  • Laser pointers
  • Noise-producing devices, airhorns or megaphones, musical instruments, whistles and cowbells
  • Ambush marketing or promotional materials
  • Banners or flags larger than 1.5m × 2m (approx. 4.9ft × 6.6ft)
  • Outside stickers, adhesive labels and decals
  • Political or offensive language on any item
  • Recreational and sports equipment or inflatables, such as inflatable balls, kites, frisbees, or darts
  • Face Coverings: religious face coverings and medical masks are exempt
  • Any other item deemed by event staff to pose a safety risk or negatively impact the event experience
