Toronto Stadium Is Match-Ready for FIFA World Cup 2026™

Toronto Stadium at Exhibition Place is officially ready for its global moment. Following a major $157.9 million transformation, the city’s home pitch has been upgraded for FIFA World Cup 2026™—and it’s looking better than ever.

What’s New?

For the tournament, the stadium has been expanded from about 28,000 to 45,000 seats, creating an electric atmosphere for six matches—including the historic home-opening game featuring Canada’s Men’s National Team.

Fans can expect a next-level experience from the moment they walk in. Think massive new LED videoboards, brighter broadcast-ready lighting, upgraded sound, and faster Wi-Fi to keep you connected all match long.

Hungry? You’ll spend less time in line thanks to expanded concessions, a new kitchen, and self-serve tech designed to get you back to your seat faster.

There’s also more room to take it all in, with new lounges, upgraded suites and fresh premium viewing spaces—including a new centre-field lounge.

And for the players, the upgrades are just as big: a brand-new FIFA-standard pitch, plus new dugouts, locker rooms and team facilities built for the world’s best.

Built for What's Next

While the extra seating will come down after the tournament, the upgrades are here to stay.

That means better screens, stronger connectivity, improved sound and lighting, more food options, and expanded hospitality spaces for future matches and events. A new 360-degree concourse will also make it easier to explore, move and catch every angle of the action. A new 360-degree concourse will also make it easier to move around the stadium and soak up the atmosphere from every angle.
